Established over 60 years ago by the New Zealand Government, the Waiariki School of Forestry and Primary Industries is currently the largest vocational forestry training institute in New Zealand.

We welcome students from all over New Zealand to join our study programmes and gain the skills, education and qualifications they require to begin successful careers in the forestry, agriculture and horticulture industries. Forestry, Sustainability, Wood Manufacturing, and Agriculture and Horticulture Courses

Waiariki Institute of Technology offers a range of courses, certificates and diplomas ranging from Wood Manufacturing to Turf Management.

Options for International Students: Diploma in Applied Technology (Dairy, Manufacturing or Sustainable Energy)

Hands-on training and education in a Central North Island location

The Waiariki School of Forestry and Primary Industries is located on two sites in Rotorua, New Zealand, with regional teaching also available.

The Diplomas in Forest Management, Sustainable Energy, and most short courses are taught primarily at the Mokoia Campus. Timber Machining and other Wood Processing courses are taught on site at the Waipa Campus, as well as being available for on-site delivery.
