The aim of this national diploma is to develop the range of operational management skills and knowledge that is required for people who aspire to manage operations in a commercial plantation forest on a sustainable basis.

The National Diploma in Forestry (Operations Management) (Level 5) provides students with general knowledge skills and practical experience of all aspects of the planning and management of commercial plantation forests, including people management, technical forestry, applied science, business management, process improvement and financial skills.

Students completing this national diploma will also gain practical experience within a commercial forest by carrying out work placements between course semesters.
