13.08.09 - Diploma in Manufacturing
28 eager students turn up for Semester Two!
Following on from the record number of student's enrolling in the tertiary sector in 2009, the Diploma in Manufacturing has record numbers attending also.

Five persons are attending from industry including persons from - Checkmate and Red Stag Timber, both Rotorua companies. There is also one female in the class.

The rest of the class is made up of international students coming from various parts of the world.

This is a great result for the qualification and will turn out quality employees ready to engage in a wide number of industries.

In 2010 the Diploma will be taught across the semester (not the block course style currently being used). This will allow the students more time to attend the courses and to put into their assessment work.
