FICA training workshop for emerging leaders in the forest industry
It is great to see FICA offering leadership and management training directly to forest workers.

Often times forestry workers are able to move up the career ladder into positions of authority, but not be taught how to fulfill their new role adequately.

FICA are running a leadership workshop on Friday 21st August that will adress some of the issues. Some of the sessions will focus on -

• Making the Transition from being “one of the team” to Team Leader
• Four Cornerstones of Management – What the job of “Manager” is all about
• Leadership vs. Management – understanding the key differences and exploring what you do best
