Biotechnology Short Course
November 25 & 26, 2009. Biotechnology for Biosecurity.
Dr Jenny Aitken will be presenting a two day short course in Biotechnology.

The course will be a combination of
lectures and practical work including
tissue culture at MAF Level Quarantine at
Levels 2 and 3 in the laboratory, and the use
of computers.

Topics covered include:
Basics of plant tissue culture; Biosecurity
and tissue culture; Navigation of the MAF
Biosecurity New Zealand web site; MAF
Level 2 Quarantine tissue culture for
imports; MAF Level 3 Quarantine tissue
culture for imports; Tissue culture exports.
