New for 2010 - National Diploma in Forest Operations
After much consultation with industry, FITEC have redesigned the National Diploma in Forest Management.

The new qualification will be entitled the "National Diploma in Forest Operations" with much more focus being placed on the broad skill development of students.

Some of the more technical units and aspects will be culled from the new qualification, but this will allow students to develop more business accumen and be ready to enter the industry better equipped.

This is an exciting development for the Forestry School to be involved in.

New for 2010 will also be more semester based teaching and learning. This will better enable students to learn ongoing c.f. the block course delivery they currently recieve.

This new qualification is currently waiting for the Tertiary Education Commission to give it the green light to go ahead.
