Gasification Project looks to go ahead at the Foresty School
At the Residues to Revenues Conference (Rotorua June 10 & 11) Maurice Davies (Managing Director - Windsor Engineering) announced to the gathering that a new gasification project is on the table.
By having the kilns refired at the Waipa Campus it will enable the Forestry School to return to a fully integrated process within the timber preperation process.
That is - the mill saws te green timber, the kilns dry the sawn timber then the processing department produce finished products.
(A new blog series on gasification and how it works will be posted on in the Forestry School blog for the dates June 18 to 20.)
The final details have a way to go before finalisation but all the signs at the moment are positive.
