New additions have been added to the Forestry School.
As of 1st May 2010 the Forestry School has expanded its areas of operation.
The Waiariki Sawmill has been incorporated into the Waipa Campus and will enable the School to create a full loop of wood processing. That is the sawmill will cut the logs, the nearly ready to go kilns will dry the logs and the wood processors will be able to machine the timber.
In another part of this story - the Waiariki Agriculture and Horticulture sections have also been added to the School of Forestry. So the Forestry School now teaches all the major land based industry options available in the Central North Island.
So with those changes fresh in our minds we will now wait and see if a school name change is in store as well? Watch this space.
