Mark Cleland |
 |
Mark Cleland believes there are two key ingredients to his life. His love of the outdoors and his passion for creativity. Mark is a tutor of Forest Management within the Waiariki School of Forestry, Wood Processing & Biotechnology.
Mark was first introduced to the forest industry at a very young age, as he was brought up in a family sawmilling and building business in New Plymouth. Mark took his experience learnt in the family business and applied it the forestry industry where he has worked his entire life. In jobs such as research, forest consulting and forest management. In 1989 Mark completed his Bachelor of Forest Science through Canterbury University. Mark found himself at Waiariki when he was asked to help develop the Forest Management course and teach on it. 15 years on Mark is still found teaching and developing the course to maintain the high standard of the forestry industry.
Outside of work Mark enjoys fly fishing, running and the very creative pottery making. |
