John leads and supports the teaching staff and management at Waiariki Institute of Technology’s School of Forestry, Wood Manufacturing and Bio Technology in all areas of academic processes and programme development.
John is also Head of Department and Lecturer in Wood Manufacturing. He is responsible for all Department activities, Academic control, Staff management, Financial accountability, Business development.
John has ongoing work in industry undertaking training and consultancy work at a large number of wood manufacturer’s throughout New Zealand. He is also a NZTMEA committee member and a FITEC advisory member.
John has built strong relationships with stakeholders such as the ITO (FITEC), and Solid Wood Processors throughout New Zealand.
