Jim Waipouri

 "There is nothing as good as working in the open air.  Operating chainsaws and machinery are what I was born to do, and I love it.

I have 35 years experience working in the Forest industry and still enjoy being around work crews.  It is a challenging profession but it has it's rewards.  Give it a go, it might be for you".

Jim started his work in the Forest industry working in sawmills.  The entire operation at the time was done manually, and over the years Jim grew his knowledge and skills.

Jim is a Practical Logging turot based in the beautiful town of Turangi.  He has spent many years living in the district and has great 'mana' amongst the people there.
