Brent moved to New Zealand in 1985. His original intention was a 1 year working holiday. After 22 years he is still living in Taupo.
Brent has worked in the forest industry since he arrived. He has worked in clearfell harvesting crews mostly in the Kinleith forest doing both hauler operations and ground based work. The opportunity to pass on his skills and knowledge to younger people entering the forest industry is what drives him and keeps him fresh.
Brents primary interests are trout fishing and gun dog trialing.
Qualifications. Brent has national certificates in - Occupational Health and Safety, Logmaking, First Line Management and Log Loading.
