Wood Manufacturing (Foundation Skills)Are you ready to take the first step towards developing practical skills that will set you up for life? This course is specifically designed for delivery to School pupils with an interest in Manufacturing (in particular Wood Manufacturing). This qualification covers the fundamental requirements of an employee within the wood manufacturing industries. Classes are taught Wednesdays from 9am to 3pm on our Waipa Campus.
COURSE DELIVERY Classes are held in Rotorua or Taupo, however some courses will be delivered at Waiariki’s Wood Manufacturing site at Waipa where ‘live’ examples are available for training. Site visits to local industry operations will be an integral component showing students the real scale and professionalism of the industry. This course has a common core that addresses employment and Health and Safety issues. It will provide students with practical skills and a working knowledge of Wood Manufacturing Operations. This course satisfies entry requirements to further study at higher levels or can lead directly to employment opportunities.
