Biotechnology and Sustainability Courses

Waiariki has introduced a number of new qualifications in the School of Forestry, Wood Processing and Biotechnology to cover a range of subject areas in biotechnology that will complement our existing forestry and horticulture offerings.

This year we are offering the introductory Short Course Certificate in Biotechnology which includes specialist courses on tissue culture and biosecurity.  The one-semester qualification prepares students to move into more specific areas of biotechnology that interest them.

 

The Biotechnology courses are being taught by Dr Jenny Aitken who operates The Tree Lab.

We also have Forestry Courses, Wood Manufacturing Courses and Short Courses available.
